K-2nd Grade Teacher

About the role

KIPP New Orleans Schools is looking for passionate K‑2 teachers who can create academically excellent classrooms and unlimited opportunities for all students. You will join a network dedicated to innovative, data‑driven instruction in a supportive charter school environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver rigorous, standards‑aligned instruction using the HQIM platform, communicating daily objectives and success criteria.
• Plan and adapt units and lessons that build conceptual understanding, scripting questions, models, exemplars, and anticipating misconceptions.
• Use data to drive instruction: analyze daily work, interim assessments, and state tests to reteach, spiral, and extend learning.
• Differentiate and scaffold instruction with diverse strategies, providing accommodations and modifications for students with IEP/504 plans.
• Structure purposeful practice through independent work, small groups, centers, and peer discourse that emphasizes academic language and grade‑level thinking.
• Provide timely, actionable feedback tied to rubrics and maintain accurate data trackers for future planning.
