Junior Staff Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Staff Accountant to join our Finance Department in Pittsburgh. The role supports the company’s growth, the rollout of a new ERP/financial system, and expanding reporting needs. You will work closely with the Finance Director in a hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process accounts payable, including posting invoices, coding administrative invoices, and running weekly vendor checks.
• Generate and post vendor wires, monitor vendor inquiries, and maintain purchase requisition files.
• Handle vendor record changes, prepare 1099s, and manage employee expense reports using Concur.
• Post expense reports weekly and review employee submissions.
• Process journal entries, assist with month‑end close, and prepare ad‑hoc financial reports.
• Support general ledger maintenance and other duties assigned by the Finance Director.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience in an accounting role or a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an accounting or finance concentration.
• General knowledge of financial statements and reporting.
• Strong organizational abilities and a high level of confidentiality.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP/Financial systems such as Abas, SAP or similar.
• Proficiency in Concur expense‑reporting tool.
• Comfortable working in a Microsoft Windows environment.
