Junior Software Engineer – AI for Renewable Energy

About the role

Paces is building an AI‑driven development engine for renewable infrastructure. As a Junior Software Engineer you will help automate early‑stage due diligence and accelerate power‑project pipelines, working closely with industry experts in Brooklyn, New York.

Key responsibilities

• Gain domain knowledge of renewable energy siting, interconnection and permitting.
• Design and implement AI agents that automate human‑driven workflows.
• Build end‑to‑end automation to unlock new modeling capabilities.
• Own feature projects from concept through production, iterating with experts.
• Scale the platform to handle growing traffic and data volumes.
• Collaborate tightly with product managers on roadmap priorities.

Required profile

• Internship or early‑career experience building data‑intensive software at fast‑growing startups.
• Hands‑on experience deploying AI agents in production environments.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Comfort with ambiguity and ability to make progress without perfect specifications.
