Junior Petroleum Inspector – Entry Level

About the role

We are looking for an energetic Junior Petroleum Inspector to join our inspection team. In this entry‑level position you will help ensure petroleum products meet safety, quality and regulatory standards across our operations.

Key responsibilities

• Measure, gauge and record temperatures of materials in shore tanks and collect samples from barges.
• Perform field calculations following company guidelines and American Petroleum Institute (API) standards.
• Label, transport and deliver samples to the laboratory promptly.
• Document inspection findings and prepare reports for management review.
• Evaluate equipment, processes and safety measures for compliance with industry regulations.
• Work with the inspector trainer to identify improvement opportunities and mitigate risks.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of safety regulations and quality‑control processes in petroleum operations.
• Strong mathematical comprehension and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in outdoor environments.
• Physical fitness to lift up to 50 lb, walk, climb and stand for extended periods; pass a Fit‑for‑Duty test.
