Junior Mobile Software Engineer

About the role

Carbon Robotics is looking for a Junior Mobile Software Engineer to join its Seattle team. You will work on the mobile applications that farmers use to monitor and control advanced robotic weed‑removal systems. The role offers hands‑on mentorship from senior engineers across software, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with engineering teams and product managers to design and build farmer‑facing mobile applications.
• Develop, test, and troubleshoot mobile features using Flutter (or React Native) to deliver real‑time weed‑control data.
• Integrate mobile apps with backend services and APIs, ensuring reliable data flow.
• Publish updates to the App Store and maintain app performance in the field.

Required profile

• Experience building mobile applications.
• Familiarity with cross‑platform frameworks such as Flutter or React Native.
• Understanding of backend service interaction, API usage, and App Store publishing.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• BS or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• Willingness to work onsite in the Seattle office four days per week.
