Junior Engineer - Various Disciplines

About the role

CACI is looking for a Junior Engineer to support the U.S. Navy Team Submarine organization at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC. The engineer provides engineering support to the Team Submarine's PMS 404 Undersea Weapons Program Office, helping the Navy develop, procure and sustain undersea warfare technology. The position is full time, requires a minimum Secret clearance and involves up to 10% local travel.

Key responsibilities

• Support engineering efforts that give technical and managerial direction for problem definition, analysis, requirement development and implementation of complex systems.
• Take part in work that develops recommendations and advice on system development, improvements and optimization.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field.
• At least two years of experience supporting military clients in engineering.
• Active DoD Secret clearance.
• Experience with DoD/Navy program management, engineering, government technical management or industry business/technical management.
• Familiarity with the DoD acquisition process.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication skills.
• Experience supporting the U.S. Navy or active-duty Navy is strongly preferred.
