Junior Designer – Soft Goods

About the role

Pentland Brands is looking for a Junior Designer to support the creation and development of soft‑goods products across its portfolio of sport and lifestyle brands. You will work from concept through commercialization, turning consumer insights and market trends into compelling product solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in generating seasonal product concepts, colourways, graphics and material stories.
• Create sketches, renderings and technical drawings using industry‑standard design software.
• Develop and maintain design specifications, tech packs and product documentation.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure design intent is accurately executed.
• Review prototypes and samples, document feedback and suggest improvements.
• Support fit, function and usability testing of products.
• Conduct market, competitor and consumer research and monitor trends in materials, colours, construction techniques and sustainability.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic about design and product development in the soft‑goods sector.
• Ability to translate consumer insights and trends into design concepts.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to collaborate across functions.
