Studio Multimedia Producer (Part‑Time)

About the role

Northeastern University’s Experiential Digital Global Education Division (EDGE) seeks a part‑time Studio Multimedia Producer to create broadcast‑quality educational media for digital learning products. The role works primarily in the EDGE studio in Boston, supporting video and audio recordings, live‑to‑tape productions, and post‑production workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Operate studio equipment—including cameras, video switchers, lighting grids, teleprompters, and audio mixing consoles—for recorded and live‑to‑tape sessions.
• Set up, calibrate, and strike studio configurations for single‑camera interviews, multi‑camera panels, and green‑screen/virtual‑set recordings.
• Provide technical direction during shoots, troubleshoot signal flow, audio levels, and lighting in real time.
• Perform basic post‑production tasks such as ingest, rough assembly, quality control, and file management.
• Maintain equipment inventory, conduct routine maintenance, and flag upgrade needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in studio or broadcast production.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight, conflicting deadlines.
• Positive, professional attitude with a willingness to learn new skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with professional video switchers, lighting instruments, and multi‑channel audio consoles.
• Working knowledge of signal flow, camera operation, and studio control‑room workflows.
• Familiarity with non‑linear editing platforms such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro.
• Experience with color correction, audio effects, and advanced editing techniques.
