Junior Data Engineer

About the role

Join Iron EagleX (IEX) to support Defense and Intelligence programs for SOCPAC at Camp Smith, Hawaii. As a Junior Data Engineer you will help secure critical operations and contribute to mission‑critical analytics for the nation’s largest government agency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain basic ETL/ELT pipelines supporting analytics workloads.
• Integrate, clean, and validate data from both structured and unstructured sources.
• Assist with data modeling, documentation, and continuous process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Current DoW TS/SCI clearance (must be a U.S. citizen).
• 0–3 years of related experience (internship or academic projects accepted).
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• On‑site work five days a week at Camp Smith, Hawaii.

Required skills

• Basic familiarity with Windows or Linux commands.
• Foundational experience with Python.
• Foundational experience with SQL.
• Experience with Git (GitHub or GitLab).
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL or Elastic.
