Junior Controller – Finance & Accounting

About the role

This on‑site Junior Controller position supports a fast‑growing global manufacturing company in West Palm Beach, Florida. You will partner with site leadership to drive financial discipline, support inventory cycles, and contribute to strategic planning.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the annual physical inventory and manage related accounting and audit documentation.
• Partner with site management to promote cost‑control best practices across operations.
• Assist in translating mid‑term business strategies into short‑term operating plans.
• Produce monthly reporting packages, including variance analysis, productivity tracking and ad‑hoc financial reports.
• Analyze business trends, assess performance against budget, and provide insights on sales, inventory, working capital and resource consumption.
• Lead forecasting cycles, monitor KPIs, conduct gap analysis and identify budget deviations.
• Develop financial simulations and business case models to support strategic decisions.
• Collaborate with all organizational levels and external auditors.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including public accounting (Big 4 or national firm) and corporate finance, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting and internal controls.
• Experience working with large ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

Required skills

• SAP or Oracle ERP proficiency
• Advanced Excel formulas (XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH), Power Query, nested IF statements and dynamic Pivot Tables
• Experience with CPM tools and Hyperion (HFM) for budgeting and consolidation
• Ability to build complex, macro‑free, auditable financial models for CapEx ROI and capacity planning
