Joint Interagency & Multinational Instructor/SME

About the role

The Joint Interagency, Intergovernmental and Multinational Instructor/SME delivers dynamic education on the interaction of joint, interagency, intergovernmental and multinational organizations for USAF and partner agency personnel. The role involves curriculum development, classroom instruction, and ensuring practical learning outcomes for Air Advisors operating in global domains.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, update, and deliver curriculum and courseware on joint, interagency, intergovernmental, and multinational operations.
• Provide instruction on National Security Strategy, DoD regulations, irregular warfare, and related subjects to USAF and partner agency personnel.
• Prepare the classroom, manage instructional equipment, and ensure timely delivery of lessons.
• Conduct student evaluations, maintain instructional quality, and participate in professional development activities.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance.
• Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Prior experience as a military advisor, political‑military affairs strategist, foreign area officer, or equivalent advisory role.
• Completed Air Command and Staff College or equivalent senior service school.
• Joint, interagency, coalition, or NGO experience.

• Fluent English with advanced communication skills.
• Ability to teach, present, and manage classroom environments.
• Proficiency with classroom technology such as projectors, computers, and computer‑based training systems.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 lb and stand for extended periods.
