JavaScript Engineer with Node.js & React

About the role

We are looking for a JavaScript Engineer to help build and maintain an open‑source, enterprise‑grade web framework. You will work with a team of engineers to create reusable components, APIs, and tooling that power fast, scalable digital experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and evolve an open‑source enterprise web framework.
• Provide support, training, and documentation for over 1,000 engineers using the framework.
• Design intuitive, functional, and extensible APIs.
• Build cross‑platform components and libraries for future reuse and open‑source contribution.
• Optimize software for performance across browsers, devices, and servers.
• Automate builds, testing, deployments, and other manual processes.
• Review pull requests thoroughly and identify breaking changes.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving ability with a focus on simple, elegant solutions.
• Forward‑thinking mindset that anticipates user and enterprise needs.
• Excellent communication skills for teaching and documentation.
• Open‑source mindset and experience splitting functionality into reusable libraries.

Required skills

• JavaScript, Node.js, TypeScript, React (including DOM manipulation and object model).
• Accessibility standards and Web Standards knowledge.
• Understanding of React core principles and modern ECMAScript specifications.
• Experience with Babel, Webpack, NPM, Yarn.
• Automated testing: unit, integration, visual, and performance testing.
• Benchmarking and performance optimization.
