Java & Python Backend Developer

About the role

Infosys Financial Services is looking for a Backend Developer to join its technology consulting team. You will work on digital transformation projects for financial institutions, leveraging AI, cloud, and data‑driven solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Document and refine business requirements as part of the elicitation process.
• Facilitate design discussions and capture architectural decisions for software solutions.
• Develop, integrate, and maintain new features in Java and Python applications.
• Perform code reviews, manage code repositories, and ensure system stability.
• Design and execute test strategies, analyse results, and coordinate bug fixes.
• Create user training materials, documentation, and support frameworks.
• Resolve production issues and propose preventive measures to improve reliability.
• Maintain detailed records of code changes, testing techniques, and support activities.

Required profile

• Strong collaborative spirit with the ability to work in cross‑functional teams.
• Experience in backend development using Java and Python.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of database administration, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of DevOps practices and continuous integration pipelines.
