IT Technician – Desktop & Network Support

About the role

Situation Group, a global collective of digital‑first advertising agencies, is looking for an IT Technician to provide day‑to‑day desktop and network support. The role reports to the Director of IT and will be based on‑site in midtown Manhattan, supporting designers, account managers and executives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for macOS and Windows workstations.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot software across departments.
• Monitor and maintain internal network, ensuring high‑speed connectivity for large media files and cloud backups.
• Deploy, image and repair laptops, desktops and peripherals such as Wacom tablets and monitors.
• Set up and troubleshoot conference‑room AV and presentation equipment.
• Lead IT orientation for new hires, preparing hardware, software and access permissions.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of professional IT support experience, preferably in a creative agency or fast‑paced production environment.
• Active CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Network+ certifications.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical staff.
