IT Support Specialist Tier I – Hybrid

About the role

Praxis Precision Medicines is looking for a detail‑oriented IT Support Specialist Tier I to join its Information Technology team. This hybrid position supports employees across a hybrid work environment, providing first‑line technical assistance and ensuring smooth day‑to‑day IT operations.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for hardware, software, and collaboration‑tool issues.
• Provide hands‑on support for onsite staff, including workstation setup, conference‑room technology, and hardware deployment.
• Troubleshoot Microsoft 365 Business applications such as Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
• Assist with user provisioning, license management, and basic configuration in Microsoft Entra, Defender, and SharePoint.
• Maintain IT documentation, procedures, and knowledge‑base articles.
• Deliver user training for Adobe Acrobat, Jira, Confluence, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.
• Coordinate with vendors and third‑party support to resolve issues.
• Monitor support queues, escalate complex incidents, and follow up to ensure resolution.
• Support onboarding and offboarding activities, including account setup and hardware provisioning.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of IT service processes.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in an IT support/help‑desk role, preferably in a hybrid environment.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑first mindset.
