IT Support Engineer I – Operations Tech Solutions

About the role

As an IT Support Engineer I you will implement technical solutions and provide high‑quality support for computer hardware, operating systems, and enterprise applications across multiple sites in a defined geographic area. You are expected to troubleshoot straightforward issues, deviate from standard practices when necessary, and ensure reliable IT services for Amazon Operations.

Key responsibilities

• Network engineering and troubleshooting, including data cabling and systems administration.
• Maintain availability of infrastructure networking and computing systems during production hours.
• Provide analytical and technical assistance to management and staff for continuous improvement of IT solutions.
• Manage local technical projects and create/maintain policies, procedures, and processes.
• Identify root‑causes of operational issues and process inefficiencies.
• Handle physical tasks such as moving up to 49 lb, standing and walking during shifts up to 12 hours.
• Support customers across multiple buildings and remote locations, traveling within the local or regional area as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of professional experience in a multi‑user high‑availability environment.
• 2+ years of networking experience (DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, TCP/IP).
• 2+ years of PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment, and liquidation experience.
• 1+ year of IT client, server, and network service delivery experience.
• Fluent in Cisco networking and either Linux or Microsoft environments.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
