IT Onsite Associate – Low Voltage Technician

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences seeks an IT Onsite Associate specialized in low‑voltage and security systems. The role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a variety of electronic control and networking components across the campus.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accurate and timely troubleshooting of security system and network cabling components.
• Install electronic control systems such as door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, Wi‑Fi locks, network switches, and related hardware.
• Respond to system failures, isolate or repair equipment, adjust software configurations, and restore full functionality.
• Participate in a 24/7 on‑call rotation, taking weekly responsibility for emergency support.

Required profile

• High school diploma required; associate, bachelor’s, or postgraduate degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years experience with low‑voltage cabling, security systems, or building maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; ability to drive UAMS‑owned vehicles.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
