IT Help Desk Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an IT Help Desk Specialist to provide timely technical support to our employees. You will diagnose, resolve, and document hardware and software issues while delivering excellent customer service across phone, email, and in‑person interactions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Help Desk tickets and respond to customer issues promptly.
• Diagnose, document, and resolve hardware and software problems.
• Install, configure, and repair computer hardware and software.
• Provide remote assistance using Bomgar.
• Install updates for hardware and software as needed.
• Maintain hardware and software inventory.
• Assist with security checks, phishing testing, and vulnerability scans.
• Install and configure security and spam‑filter software.
• Offer training and assistance on software configuration, such as spam filters and phone features.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Associate Degree in Information Systems or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work off‑hours for planned updates and downtime.

Required skills

• Microsoft Windows 11
• Microsoft Server 2019 (or newer)
• Microsoft Office 2019 (or newer)
• Bomgar remote support tool
• Basic computer hardware repair knowledge
• Understanding of network protocols and architecture
• Knowledge of firewall technologies and implementation
