IT Finance Analyst Intern

About the role

The IT Finance Analyst Intern will support the Office of the CITO in managing financial data, procurement activities, and reporting for technology projects. This position offers hands‑on experience with financial analysis, KPI tracking, and mobile device management while working closely with IT, Accounts Payable, and corporate finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with financial data entry, transaction recording, and maintenance of IT‑related financial records.
• Perform variance, trend, and ratio analyses to evaluate IT financial performance and compare project actuals with approved plans.
• Help reconcile project purchase orders and expenses, and create purchase requisitions with required approvals.
• Support the preparation of recurring IT financial reports and KPI dashboards, validating source data and summarising findings.
• Document and evaluate an assigned IT finance or procurement process and propose improvements.
• Assist with managing company mobile devices and carrier accounts, including inventory, activations, deactivations, and billing reviews.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in a bachelor’s program related to Finance, Accounting, IT, Economics, Engineering or similar.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with Power BI or other analytics tools.
• Knowledge of ServiceNow or similar IT service‑management platforms.
• Exposure to ERP systems such as Oracle Fusion or PeopleSoft.
