IT Engineer, Workday Integrations

About the role
The University of Maryland’s Division of Information Technology is seeking an IT Engineer to support Workday Student integrations. You will join an agile, team‑based effort to migrate UMD computing systems to a modern cloud environment while building and maintaining Workday integration solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy Workday integrations using Studio, EIB, Reports, and BIRTs.
- Implement integration solutions following formal development methodologies and scheduled timelines.
- Participate in peer code reviews, documentation, and formal testing activities.
- Provide support during evenings, nights, weekends, or emergencies to ensure continuity of university services.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (Master’s preferred).
- At least three years of professional experience creating and maintaining data integrations between systems.
- Ability to interpret policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
Required skills
- Workday Integration Framework (Studio, EIB, RaaS, Orchestration).
- SOAP and REST APIs, WSDL, SFTP, XML/XSLT.
- Relational databases (Oracle, MySQL) and advanced SQL query development.
- ETL and report development platforms.
- Google Workspace proficiency.
