IT Assistant - POS Support

About the role

This IT Assistant role provides point-of-sale support for a venue. You will deploy and tear down POS terminals, update sales data where needed, and administer the company's PCs, printers and related equipment. The position suits someone who is customer service focused, can work independently and thrives in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for point-of-sale system problems and escalate them when necessary
• Initiate and implement improvements in your area of responsibility
• Walk through the stadium to check that all systems are operational before and during events
• Replace defective hardware before, during and after events
• Diagnose software, firmware and hardware errors and breakage
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of the organization and follow all standards and practices

Required profile

• Experience with POS systems
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle several tasks efficiently and on time
• Strong verbal and written communication and the ability to build working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to adapt quickly to environmental changes
• Physical ability to stand and walk long distances and to lift at least 50 lbs
• Follows safety policies, completes company-wide and job-specific safety training
