About the role
The Applications and Data Management team is looking for an entry‑level IT Applications Developer to turn ideas into functional tools that support Louisiana’s workforce. You will work on custom in‑house applications, data reporting, and help agencies use data confidently.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain custom applications used by the department and statewide HR offices.
- Support and improve existing tools to increase efficiency and transparency.
- Assist with collection, analysis, and reporting of workforce data.
- Manage storage of departmental records and generate reports for decision‑makers.
- Coordinate educational initiatives that help agencies adopt data‑driven solutions.
Required profile
- Champion continuous improvement and focus on customer needs.
- Demonstrate active learning and effective use of technology.
- Meet one of the minimum qualifications: 3 years IT experience, or equivalent education/experience combinations as detailed in the posting.
