About the role
This apprenticeship offers a hands‑on introduction to modern software development within the Texas Roadhouse Support Center. Working alongside experienced developers, you will apply classroom or self‑taught programming knowledge to real projects and learn the full software development lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Write, debug, and test code for small feature enhancements and bug fixes.
- Assist with integration tasks, data preparation, and report generation.
- Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and agile ceremonies.
- Document application changes and maintain version‑controlled repositories.
Required profile
- Currently enrolled in a computer science, computer engineering, or related degree program.
- Strong problem‑solving and communication abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Required skills
- Familiarity with C# (a plus).
- Basic understanding of object‑oriented programming concepts.
- Experience with version control systems, especially Git.
- Exposure to web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, REST APIs, and JSON/XML formats.
- Comfort using development environments such as Visual Studio, VS Code, or Rider.
