iOS Software Engineer – Aviation AI Startup

About the role

You will build mission‑critical iOS applications that improve flight safety and operational efficiency for a high‑growth aviation AI startup. Working on a fast‑moving hybrid team, you will deliver real‑time, user‑facing features that directly support pilots and the Department of Defense.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement high‑performance iOS features using Swift, SwiftUI, and modern mobile frameworks.
• Integrate complex internal and external APIs to provide real‑time flight data and sensor information.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and product designers to create intuitive, safety‑critical mobile experiences.
• Ship production code for a platform used by the DoD and major commercial airlines.

Required profile

• 2+ years of iOS development experience.
• Proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI, with exposure to UIKit and multithreading.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and experience with asynchronous programming (async/await or GCD).
• U.S. Person status (Citizen or Green Card) and residence within commuting distance of San Carlos.
