Inventory Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Inventory and Shipping Specialist to support the dispatch of field service technicians and manage the assembly and shipment of Energy Efficiency kits. The role ensures safe, accurate, and efficient warehouse operations while maintaining inventory levels to meet daily distribution demands.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload warehouse products using pallet jacks or hand trucks.
• Perform timely and accurate inventory counts.
• Enter part quantities, transfers, and cycle count adjustments into the database.
• Re‑package materials for installers, modify manufacturer packaging, and fill storage bins as needed.
• Oversee weekly counting of returned unused products.
• Assemble, ship, and track customized kits using FedEx tracking software.
• Maintain adequate levels of shipping supplies and respond to tracking inquiries.
• Assist the Purchasing department with vehicle maintenance and perform daily housekeeping duties.

Required profile

• Knowledge of inventory control processes.
• Ability to work accurately at a fast pace.
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Capability to lift up to fifty pounds.
• Pass a background check and drug test.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Experience using FedEx shipping and tracking software.
