Inventory Control Analyst

About the role

The Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for creating and managing purchase orders to keep inventory balanced across multiple warehouses for assigned product categories. You will forecast inventory needs, maximize service levels for inbound and outbound orders, and collaborate closely with category management and logistics to capture cost‑saving opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor assigned inventory levels and adjust based on forecasts.
• Execute category‑manager plans, including displays, marketing initiatives, and promotions.
• Coordinate forward buys with category managers when appropriate.
• Identify and evaluate alternative or non‑traditional sourcing opportunities.
• Track vendor performance and service levels.
• Gather store feedback on category products and competitive situations.
• Maintain effective relationships with store operations, logistics, accounting, manufacturing, and store brands.
• Achieve service level and inventory turn targets.
• Communicate market conditions, logistics, or product issues to leadership.

Required profile

• Intermediate knowledge of buying, merchandising, and retail operations.
• Familiarity with inventory forecasting and vendor management.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with internal teams.
