International Tax Manager

About the role
We are seeking an International Tax Manager to join Notion’s global Tax and Treasury team. In this pivotal role you will navigate the complex global tax environment, create tangible value, and collaborate on tax‑efficient strategies that enable business expansion and innovation. You will also help build a world‑class tax function and make a lasting impact on Notion’s growth.
Key responsibilities
- Own U.S. international tax provision calculations under ASC 740, including GILTI, FDDEI, BEAT, Subpart F, FTC and related components of quarterly and annual reporting.
- Lead preparation and review of U.S. international compliance and information reporting (e.g., Forms 5471, 8858, 1118, 8991‑8993) in partnership with external advisors.
- Manage the global filing calendar and audits to ensure timely and accurate filing.
- Drive U.S. international tax planning and structuring initiatives for cross‑border operations, new jurisdiction expansions, M&A, and OECD Pillar Two readiness.
- Oversee global transfer‑pricing policies and required documentation.
- Identify, evaluate, and advise management on international income‑tax consequences of legislative developments, including computational analysis.
- Maintain and enhance tax models and processes for provision, forecasting, and compliance.
- Serve as technical lead for audits, inquiries and special projects.
Required profile
- Demonstrated experience with U.S. international tax provision calculations and ASC 740 reporting.
- Proven ability to manage complex international compliance filings and coordinate with external advisors.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate legislative developments and their tax impact.
- Experience leading tax‑planning initiatives for cross‑border operations and M&A.
