International Tax Manager

About the role

WPP is seeking an International Tax Manager to support global tax compliance and reporting across its international operations. Reporting to the Senior Manager – International Tax, you will work within a collaborative team that values innovation, automation, and emerging technologies to enhance efficiency and impact.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and review international tax compliance and reporting for foreign subsidiaries (e.g., Forms 5471, 8858, 8865, 1118).
• Partner with global colleagues to gather information and coordinate compliance activities.
• Maintain and enhance Excel models for complex group calculations such as GILTI, Sec. 987, and Subpart F.
• Ensure all filings are audit‑ready, standardized, and properly documented.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve tax compliance processes.
• Support adoption of AI and technology within the tax function.
• Utilize tax technology tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Review and maintain the group’s organisational structures and charts.
• Assist in preparing year‑end tax provisions for U.S.-owned foreign entities.
• Contribute to tax planning and transactional projects and support offshore tax teams.

Required profile

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Professional qualification such as CPA, ACA, or similar is beneficial but not essential.
• Experience in international tax, preferably within public accounting or a global organisation.
• Knowledge of global tax compliance and reporting requirements.
• Familiarity with U.S. international tax rules and/or foreign tax regimes.
• Experience working with shared service or offshore teams is helpful.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel modeling.
• Experience with tax compliance or provision systems (e.g., Corptax).
