About the role
This internship with the Department of Operational Support supports the Planning, Design and Construction Section in managing artwork gifts and facility information at the United Nations headquarters in New York. The role can be performed onsite, remotely, or in a hybrid format for a period of three to six months.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in reviewing and updating the gift inventory catalogue.
- Enter and maintain gift data in Excel and SharePoint databases.
- Update location and condition records for artwork gifts.
- Organise research files and store them in electronic folders.
- Perform additional related tasks as required by the Section Chief.
Required profile
- Current enrolment in a graduate programme, final year of a bachelor’s programme, or recent graduate with a degree in International History, International Studies or a related field.
- Strong interest in the United Nations and commitment to its Charter.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multicultural team.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using SharePoint for document management (preferred).
