Internal Communications Lead

About the role

Plaid is seeking an Internal Communications Lead to shape the narrative that connects every employee to the company’s mission and the exciting opportunities ahead in fintech and AI. You will design and own the systems, channels, and programs that keep the organization informed, aligned, and energized.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders to develop and execute internal communication strategies for All‑Hands, Half‑Yearly Business Reviews, weekly Q&As, and major announcements.
• Produce executive‑level content such as talking points, emails, presentations, and Slack messages for high‑visibility moments.
• Define and program‑matic infrastructure, cadences, and editorial guidelines for company‑wide communications.
• Craft and drive the internal AI narrative, helping employees understand its impact on their work.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team and founder‑CEO, providing counsel during high‑stakes communications.
• Collaborate with People team partners (CPO, HRBPs, Learning & Development, etc.) to ensure consistent messaging across the organization.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading internal communications or employee engagement programs in a fast‑growing technology company.
• Strong storytelling ability to translate strategy into clear, compelling messages.
• Executive presence and judgment to advise senior leaders on critical communication moments.
• Track record of building scalable communication processes and editorial standards.
