Internal Audit Analyst

About the role

Hunt Consolidated, Inc. is seeking an Internal Audit Analyst to join its Dallas office. Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, you will support operational, compliance, and financial audits while leveraging AI‑enabled audit tools.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Internal Audit Manager in planning and executing audits, including scoping, walkthroughs, test planning, fieldwork, and reporting.
• Perform audit testing procedures, gather evidence, conduct sampling, and document results in organized workpapers.
• Utilize approved AI tools and audit analytics to streamline workpaper organization, evidence summarization, and test design.
• Analyze transaction data to identify trends and exceptions, drafting observations and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with process owners to document processes, controls, and flow narratives.
• Track audit requests, evidence receipt, and testing status; maintain audit files and follow‑up on action items.
• Support special projects, remediation follow‑up, and periodic status updates as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Information Systems/IT, or a related business field.
• At least 2 years of experience in internal audit, external audit, accounting, risk/compliance, or related internships.
• Interest in pursuing a professional certification such as CIA, CPA, or CISA.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time, including occasional international trips.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables) and the broader Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with Power BI, Power Query, or SQL (preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
