Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will own the accuracy, integrity, and rhythm of Velo IT Group’s financial operations. Reporting directly to the owner and leadership team, you will provide the solid financial foundation needed as the company scales from $10M toward $25M in revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain audit‑ready general ledger, chart of accounts, and fixed‑asset records.
• Run a disciplined month‑end close with accruals, deferrals, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Own the rolling 8‑week cash forecast, monitor daily cash, and flag shortfalls.
• Build annual budgets, re‑forecasts, and growth models for headcount, licensing and client projects.
• Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet, cash‑flow statements and KPI dashboards (MRR, revenue mix, gross margin, attrition).
• Support pricing, renewal and vendor‑cost decisions with margin analysis.
• Process semi‑monthly payroll, manage tax deposits, filings and benefits deductions.
• Coordinate time‑entries, tickets and ConnectWise agreements to ensure accurate client invoicing.

Required profile

• Several years of progressive experience in accounting and finance.
• Demonstrated commitment to accuracy, consistency and defensible financial reporting.
• Comfortable making decisions that protect cash flow and profitability.
• Preference for stable processes over constant reinvention.

What we offer

• Base salary $110,000‑$135,000 USD, commensurate with experience.
