Intern, Embedded Design Engineering

About the role

Moog’s Embedded Design Engineering team within the Space & Defense Group is looking for a part‑time fall 2026 block intern. The position is onsite in Blacksburg, VA and provides hands‑on experience with engineering design, testing, and analysis while supporting senior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the preparation and execution of key engineering tasks.
• Provide technical support to engineers as needed.
• Participate in conceptual design, detailed design, testing, and analysis activities.
• Offer input on project processes, strategies, and execution.
• Work as a multidisciplinary member of a creative, independent team.
• Represent Moog in a professional manner consistent with its technical reputation.

Required profile

• Enrolled in an Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related Bachelor’s/Master’s program at an accredited university.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 (or as specified by the department).
• Eligibility to access U.S. export‑controlled information.
• Ability to relocate for the duration of the internship.
• Professional disposition, effective communication, strong desire to learn, positive attitude, and teamwork capability.
