Interior Designer - Single-Family Residential

About the role

A design-focused studio in Long Island City is looking for an Interior Designer to join its Interior Design and Interior Architecture leadership team. The role suits a creative, detail-oriented designer with strong technical skills who enjoys high-end residential interiors. You will take part in every stage of the design process, from material selection and space planning through construction documentation and visualization.

Key responsibilities

• Create interior design presentations, mood boards and client-facing materials using Adobe Creative Suite
• Source, organize and specify finishes, fixtures, appliances, hardware, furnishings and materials
• Develop detailed 3D models, furniture layouts and design documentation in Archicad or Revit
• Produce interior diagrams, visualizations and design vignettes, and coordinate photorealistic renderings
• Work with consultants, vendors, contractors and project stakeholders, and integrate design into construction documentation
• Manage several projects at once under the guidance of senior design leadership

Required profile

• 2+ years of professional experience as an Interior Designer
• At least 2 years using Archicad or Revit
• Experience coordinating with consultants, vendors and contractors; working knowledge of residential construction preferred
• Existing vendor and consultant relationships a plus; valid driver's license preferred
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Required skills

• Advanced Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
• Archicad or Revit
• Strong visual communication, presentation and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced studio
