About the role
The University of Miami Health System is seeking experienced Intensive Care Registered Nurses to join its Night Shift team. This full‑time, on‑site position supports critical care patients across surgical, medical, cardiovascular, neuro, and other ICU specialties.
Key responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in intensive care units, following evidence‑based nursing processes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans and post‑discharge care.
- Monitor and document patient status, administer medications, and operate ICU equipment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit safety protocols.
Required profile
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred (ASN acceptable with two‑year BSN completion plan).
- Valid Florida Registered Nurse license.
- Minimum two years of experience as an Intensive Care Registered Nurse.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Required skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Florida RN licensure.
- Proficiency in ICU monitoring equipment and electronic health record systems.
