Instructor - Transplant Surgery

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) seeks an Instructor in Transplant Surgery to join its academic surgery department. This non‑tenure faculty position focuses on delivering high‑quality education, mentoring residents and fellows, and supporting the transplant surgery program.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and supervise medical students, residents, and fellows in transplant surgery techniques and patient care.
• Develop and update curriculum, lecture materials, and assessment tools for transplant surgery courses.
• Participate in clinical duties, including operative assistance and postoperative management within the transplant program.
• Engage in scholarly activities such as research, publications, and conference presentations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and educational excellence.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification in Surgery.
• Significant experience in transplant surgery, including clinical and academic roles.
• Demonstrated ability to teach, mentor, and evaluate trainees.
