Instructor – Cardiovascular Advanced Imaging Fellowship

About the role

The University of Miami UHealth offers a one‑year, non‑ACGME Cardiovascular Advanced Imaging Fellowship. This instructor role provides physicians with intensive, hands‑on training in cutting‑edge cardiac imaging modalities to enhance diagnosis and management of complex cardiovascular disease.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in daily clinical practice with a multidisciplinary team, interpreting cardiac CT, MRI, echocardiography, and nuclear imaging studies.
• Develop expertise in advanced techniques such as myocardial perfusion imaging, coronary artery imaging, cardiac function evaluation, and tissue characterization.
• Engage in clinical and translational research projects, collaborating with faculty and contributing to high‑impact publications.
• Work closely with cardiologists, radiologists, and other specialists to create integrated treatment strategies.
• Attend and present at didactic sessions, case discussions, departmental conferences, and national meetings.
• Assist in quality‑assurance processes and protocol development to ensure accurate imaging results.

Required profile

• MD or equivalent degree with completion of an ACGME‑accredited residency in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Radiology, or a related specialty.
• Strong background in cardiovascular imaging; prior experience preferred.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Florida.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational abilities.
