Instructional Student Assistant – Social Work (Part‑time)

About the role
The Department of Social Work Education at California State University, Fresno is seeking a part‑time Instructional Student Assistant (ISA) to support the Title IV‑E Child Welfare Education Program. The ISA will work on Social Work 278, providing grading, tutoring, mentoring and classroom assistance.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and submit student records and grades.
- Evaluate assignments and provide feedback.
- Manage the Canvas learning management system for the course.
- Assist in preparing course materials, learning guides, and classroom activities.
- Support classroom instruction related to child welfare practice.
Required profile
- Current enrollment at California State University, Fresno (undergraduate or graduate).
- Interest in social work and child welfare practice.
- Ability to commit 0‑20 hours per week during the semester.
- Good academic standing and communication skills.
Required skills
- Canvas (learning management system) proficiency.
