Instructional Designer, Training Curriculum Development

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Instructional Designer to create engaging training curricula for technical, compliance, systems, and soft‑skill topics. The role is primarily remote, with occasional on‑site meetings in Oakland for team collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop eLearning, virtual, and instructor‑led learning solutions using established instructional design methodologies.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to define learning objectives, course structure, content, and assessments.
• Conduct detailed task analysis to align training with target audience, business processes, and systems.
• Produce learning materials such as storyboards, modules, guides, activities, scenarios, and performance support artifacts.
• Visualize instructional graphics, scenarios, and interactions; write clear scripts for audio, video, and text.
• Engage with subject‑matter experts throughout task analysis, alpha/beta testing, and validation phases.
• Self‑manage timelines, communicate risks, and incorporate feedback to ensure high‑quality deliverables.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience developing eLearning, virtual, or instructor‑led training.
• Strong knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies.
• Proficiency with Articulate Storyline, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Ability to handle multiple development projects simultaneously.
