Instructional Designer II

About the role

Provide expert assistance to faculty and instructors by planning, designing, and developing high-quality digital education content. Support the pedagogic transformation of digital education within the university and help faculty select appropriate strategies, software, and technology.

Key responsibilities

• Assist and support faculty in developing online courses using learning technologies and redesigning courses for effective digital education.
• Collaborate with the LMS administrator to improve processes, create guides, and innovate digital education practices.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Canvas and other teaching technologies, and stay current with emerging tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• At least two years of instructional design experience.
• Knowledge of online course design principles, LMS, and instructional technologies.

Required skills

• Experience with Canvas or similar LMS.
• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
• Proficiency with multimedia and course‑authoring tools such as Camtasia, Adobe Cloud, Captivate, and Storyline.
• Familiarity with Open Education Resources (OER) and universal design for learning (WCAG 2.1AA).
