Instructional Assistant Professor of Kinesiology

About the role

Texas A&M International University seeks an Instructional Assistant Professor to join the College of Nursing and Health Sciences beginning Fall 2027. This full‑time, non‑tenure‑track position involves teaching undergraduate kinesiology courses and contributing to the college’s service mission.

Key responsibilities

• Teach 15 semester credit hours per semester in subjects such as biomechanics, exercise physiology, athletic training, and adapted physical activity.
• Provide review sessions and academic support for students.
• Participate in college, university, and community service activities.

Required profile

• Earned PhD in Exercise Science or a related kinesiology field with at least 18 graduate credit hours.
• Previous collegiate teaching experience.
• Flexibility to schedule evening and weekend classes as needed.
• Ability to deliver content in in‑person, hybrid, and online formats.
• Preferred certifications: NSCA (CPT, CSCS) or ACSM.
