Insider Threat Investigative Analyst

About the role

Amentum is seeking an Insider Threat Investigative Analyst to support its U.S. Department of Energy and Counterintelligence (DOE-IN) contract. The position is based in the Washington, D.C. area and involves all-source analysis to assess insider threat risk.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive all-source analysis supporting a national-level government insider threat mission.
• Aggregate, analyze and evaluate data sources to assess risk.
• Extract and organize data to build metrics, reports, case studies and trend reports.
• Research ongoing analytic insider threat efforts.
• Prepare situational awareness and warning reports for government representatives.
• Deliver written and oral presentations.
• Edit and quality control program products.
• Incorporate insider threat data in line with government mission requirements and timeliness.

Required profile

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in social sciences, criminal justice, national security or a related field.
• Eight or more years of demonstrated experience conducting all-source analysis or investigations for government or private sector insider threat programs, including counterintelligence, security, law enforcement, human resources or related fields.
• Expert knowledge of risk assessment, trend tracking, best practices, compliance barriers, metrics and report quality.
• Excellent oral and written communication, conflict resolution and ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
• Preferred: advanced degree or certification such as CCITP or CISSP.

Required skills

• Extensive experience with insider threat databases for record-keeping, data mining and analysis.
• All-source analysis and investigation.
