Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

This on‑site Infrastructure Engineer position in Los Angeles supports and optimises enterprise‑wide systems across both on‑premise and cloud environments. Working closely with senior technology leadership, the role ensures high reliability, performance, and security of critical infrastructure for a media and entertainment organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure components in hybrid (on‑premise & cloud) environments.
• Administer Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra ID, and related identity‑access management services.
• Manage backup, recovery, and disaster‑recovery processes (e.g., VEEAM) to guarantee business continuity.
• Monitor system performance, security, and reliability; propose and apply improvements.
• Support Windows and Linux servers, virtual machines, storage arrays, and network devices.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues across systems, endpoints, and enterprise applications.
• Handle escalations from support teams, providing guidance and mentorship.
• Maintain accurate documentation and resolve incidents via a structured ticketing system.
• Contribute to major infrastructure projects such as storage migrations and system upgrades.
• Participate in after‑hours on‑call rotation as needed.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in systems administration or engineering within high‑availability environments.
• Strong expertise in Windows systems administration; solid familiarity with Linux.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory/Entra ID, and Group Policy.
• Proficiency managing virtualised environments, storage platforms, and backup solutions.
• Working knowledge of networking fundamentals.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.
• Understanding of security best practices and system hardening.
