Information Technology Network Architect – RELLIS Campus

About the role

The Texas A&M University System Offices are seeking a senior Information Technology Network Architect to lead the design, implementation, and evolution of the RELLIS Campus network. This strategic role ensures the campus-wide network delivers high performance, scalability, reliability, and security for all partners and facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the architecture of LAN, WAN, wireless, data‑center, and security overlay networks across the RELLIS Campus.
• Develop, enforce, and continuously improve network engineering standards and design methodologies.
• Review and approve network design plans, installation procedures, and testing standards.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption aligned with strategic objectives.
• Serve as the senior escalation point for complex network issues and oversee root‑cause analysis and enterprise troubleshooting.
• Mentor and develop the Network Team, set priorities, assign work, and ensure successful project delivery.

Required profile

• Extensive experience designing and managing enterprise‑scale campus networks.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and drive architectural standards.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on reliability and security.
