About the role
The Information Systems Specialist provides on‑site technical support for hardware, software, and networking issues within the Alamo Colleges District. The role ensures that workstations and peripherals operate smoothly for faculty, staff, and students.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems for end users.
- Troubleshoot networking connectivity issues and restore network access.
- Provide on‑site support for workstations, including installation, removal, and replacement of computer peripherals.
Required profile
- Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least one year of experience in a technical support or similar IT role.
- Ability to pass a motor vehicle report, background check, and drug screening.
Required skills
- Hardware troubleshooting.

- Network connectivity troubleshooting.
