Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) 2

About the role

Amentum is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) 2 for a new prime contract based out of its Maryland office. The ISSO supports the information assurance program of a program, organization, system or enclave, including security authorization and the NIST RMF.

Key responsibilities

• Support the information assurance program and help propose, coordinate, implement and enforce security policies, standards and methodologies
• Maintain the operational security posture and day-to-day security operations of the system
• Evaluate security solutions for classified information and perform vulnerability/risk assessments to support security authorization
• Provide configuration management for security software, hardware and firmware, and manage changes while assessing their security impact
• Prepare and review documentation such as SSPs, risk assessment reports, C&A packages and SRTMs, in line with NIST RMF and ODNI/DoD policies
• Provide daily oversight and direction to contractor ISSOs and interact with customers, IT staff and corporate officers to achieve cybersecurity objectives

Required profile

• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, cyber security, IT engineering or a related field, or 12 years of experience in lieu of a degree
• 8 years of combined experience in IT, cybersecurity or security authorization, including at least two of: security tools, communication protocols, or encryption tools
• Familiarity with commercial security products, security authorization techniques, incident management and PKI
• Compliance with DoD 8570.01-M, minimum IAM Level I certification
