About the role
The Federal Reserve Bank of New York is seeking an Information Security Specialist to join its Cyber Security Assurance team. You will work onsite with technology squads to assess and mitigate cyber risks, especially around cloud migrations and mission‑critical market systems.
Key responsibilities
- Perform cloud application security risk assessments and threat modeling.
- Execute application security testing for migration workloads.
- Review security designs and provide guidance on secure architecture.
- Embed within development squads to advise on security throughout the software lifecycle.
- Manage relationships with assigned business units and ensure timely delivery of assessments.
- Support the Security Champion Program and integrate security tooling into CI/CD pipelines.
- Assess risks associated with third‑party vendors, IoT devices, and outsourced services handling Federal Reserve data.
Required profile
- Proven experience in cyber security risk analysis and cloud security.
- Hands‑on experience with application security testing and threat modeling.
- Ability to work closely with technology teams and deliver assessments independently.
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps practices and CI/CD environments.
