Information Security Manager for IAM Operations

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of New York is seeking an experienced Information Security Manager to lead Identity and Access Management (IAM) operations. This senior role is part of the Risk Group’s second‑line defense, ensuring the Bank’s cyber resilience across on‑premises and cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Execute hands‑on triage for IAM operational work and maintain strict service level agreements.
• Lead automation and enhancement programs to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and increase user friendliness.
• Coordinate with local and system IAM teams to deliver end‑to‑end IAM operations.
• Oversee IAM threat response, ensuring timely and effective mitigation of security incidents.
• Manage a team of employees and contractors, providing guidance on strategy, engineering, policy, compliance, and risk management.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a cybersecurity manager with a strong focus on IAM technology.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive programmatic maturity.
• Experience working in a regulated, mission‑driven environment such as banking or finance.
• Strong analytical and risk‑based decision‑making skills.
