Industry Market Manager - Health & Nutrition (Dairy Required)

About the role

The Industry Market Manager for Health & Nutrition Americas drives the financial performance and market growth of the Non-Branded Food Ingredients (NBFI) segment within the Americas. Working with the IMM, Commercial and Sourcing teams, the role defines and drives the strategy for the Nutrition NBFI industry and upholds Brenntag's core values. The position is based in Chicago.

Key responsibilities

• Build and implement the nutrition strategy for the portfolio once approved, covering sourcing, preferred suppliers, growth targets and a consultative sales approach.
• Take full responsibility for supplier management and interface.
• Own gross profit, sales and growth of a defined product category within Nutrition Americas and act as the nutrition product expert, driving market development focused on the Americas.
• Support the sales team in distinguishing Nutrition from competitors, manage and help execute opportunity pipelines, and attend sales and sourcing meetings when needed.
• Provide sales training on NFBIs, publish monthly market updates, and support corporate or key account bid teams.
• Define floor and target prices, launch new product lines, identify new opportunities, and hold the buying team accountable for purchasing strategies.
• Negotiate nutrition contracts (volume commitments, bonuses, pricing, projects) with leadership approval, implement inventory strategies with the inventory team, and design business metrics.
• Ensure strategy compliance for selected suppliers and continuously pursue margin optimization.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a graduate degree may be preferred.
• 10 to 15 years of professional experience in product management within ingredients distribution, blending/manufacturing or B2B.
• Solid track record of achieving revenue and gross profit growth targets.
• Dairy experience required.
