Industrial Technology Senior Consultant

About the role

Deloitte’s Supply Chain and Network Operations practice is seeking an Industrial Technology Senior Consultant to help manufacturing and supply‑chain clients design, build, and scale technology‑enabled solutions that improve safety, quality, throughput, asset reliability, and workforce effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day workstreams across assessment, proof‑of‑concept, pilot, and implementation engagements for plants, factories, and warehouses.
• Identify high‑value use cases such as quality improvement, OEE optimization, asset reliability, and AI‑driven analytics, and develop value hypotheses and business cases.
• Translate operational requirements into functional and technical designs, collaborating with architects on data integration, plant‑system connectivity, analytics, machine‑learning models, and user‑facing applications.
• Drive delivery of PoCs and pilots, managing backlogs, sprint prioritization, experiment design, data validation, and pilot‑readout materials.
• Facilitate client workshops, plant‑floor walkthroughs, stakeholder interviews, and lead user training and adoption activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, industrial technology, automation, analytics, software or AI solution development, or digital transformation.
• Proven ability to work independently, lead complex projects, mentor junior team members, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Required skills

• Industrial analytics and data platforms (data integration, KPI/OEE reporting, data governance).
• Applied AI/ML for operations (predictive models, anomaly detection, generative AI tools).
• Simulation, digital twins, physics‑based modeling (discrete event, MILP).
• Automation and controls engineering (PLC programming, robotics, machine vision, closed‑loop control).
• Software product development in an industrial setting (agile roadmaps, CI/CD, cloud deployment).
